LinuxMuse is an operation for disseminating and evangelizing Linux. LinuxMuse also provides a community space where registered users can converse and exchange information. LinuxMuse is dependent at this time upon voluntary user subscriptions. At our discretion and depending on subscription volume, LinuxMuse may choose to offer enhanced subscriber-only features at some point in the future.
Posting to LinuxMuse forums, messageboards and other community areas is restricted to registered users only. See the Privacy section below, for information regarding data collected and stored by LinuxMuse. The registered user who posts or otherwise stores content that is publicly accessible retains his or her ownership of that content. LinuxMuse reserves all editorial rights, however.
All information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages or any other materials whatsoever (collectively, "Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. This means that the user, and not LinuxMuse, is entirely responsible for all Content that he or she uploads, posts, emails or otherwise transmits via LinusMuse or any Service. No user shall transmit Content or otherwise conduct or participate in any activities on LinuxMuse and/or any Service which, in the opinion of LinuxMuse, are prohibited by law in applicable jurisdictions, including laws governing the encryption of software, the export of technology, the transmission of obscenity or the permissible uses of intellectual property.

LinuxMuse asks that posting users and subscribers give valid personal information in order to make use of the services offered.
LinuxMuse will not use collected information for any purposes except to contact subscribers and registered users directly, and then only to provide feedback on subscriptions, editorial changes or requests, etc.
LinuxMuse will never use its collected data to advertise to registered users and subscribers, nor will we sell the data.
LinuxMuse will track standard collected web connection data, such as IP address, referring domains, destinations within the LinuxMuse sites, etc. This information will be used generically for system performance monitoring and site enhancements. Accumulated connection data will be used for standard web statistics reports, some of which will be publicly available.
Upon request, a subscriber or registered user may ask that their data be removed from our systems. We will then remove user data from our databases. We will not, however, endeavor to remove posts made by users into the forums, messageboards or other public areas of the site. Requests for removal of information should be mailed to admin@linuxmuse.com.
